Getting Started In Cuba

PostPosted By MCARE » Sun Feb 14, 2010 12:58 pm

I'm now over 501 Mafia, working on Underboss jobs in NY, and I wanted to get a jump on Cuba. What I've discovered (I know I'm not the first) is that fighting is the best way to get started in Cuba. Unless I'm mistaken, the loot drops from fighting are better in Cuba. Also, you can just attack looking for pesos. Having only done @10 jobs, I've used fighting to raise over $1M pesos. I've also bought and upgraded the tobacco and sugar plantations. It seems to me I have a good start for when I get there full time.

Any comments or suggestions are welcome.

Yup, looks good. :) You can do all your fighting in Cuba, no need to do it in New York. Upgrade the other business as well and you should have enough of money in no time :)

Mcare, im not a expert by any means, but when you can start a new city, at least get some of the business's up and rolling asap, even if you wont be there for a week or weeks. The money is hard to come by in MW and even more so in BK, so start your investments. BK is a prime example, so get some money flowing and satellite cells and drug shipments maxed out pretty quick, you will need several hundred of them. Its much easier to do one job 25 straight times instead of doing two jobs 12 times (one for consumable, one for the job).

Yup, those guys are right on. Spend some time getting those businesses going and fight there exclusively. Coming into a city later has an advantage because many people that are done with the city also stop banking. Makes for better fighting.

Go back to NY and finish it. The Underboss and Boss bonuses will make burning through Cuba more fun, and worth the skill points.

If you have the cash on hand, master the levels in order. Your skill points will drop faster that way and you will continue to build up a bankroll.

Determine what is more important to you. Do you want the top items from the city, skill points, or just the fun of finishing before you move on?

I'm not sure where you are with Moscow or Bangkok, so this is just me thinking. But if I had 2 or 3 open cities in front of me I would consider completing the first two episodes of each, grabbing the easy skill points and getting those businesses going. You will be able to build up cash in each and get those consumables banking away. (Drug shipments, Pirates and Politico Corruptos)

Once that is done, I'd had back to the one I started with and finish it after finishing NY. Have fun.
